BOCCONI UNIVERSITY 2016-2017 HOUSING APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS TRANSLATION OF THE PROVISIONAL HOUSING APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS Approved by the ISU Bocconi Board on 27 April 2016 These Regulations are provisional and subject to changes following the issuance of Italian DGR 2016 regarding the Right to University Study. These Regulations will also be adjusted to follow the current regulations regarding ISEE. Regulations and limits regarding income should be considered provisory until publication of the final Regulations, expected by July 2016. For the 2016-2017 academic year, Bocconi University offers 7 Residence Halls to its students, for a total number of 1,767 room assignments, both full rate and reduced rate (fee determined according to the economic condition of the student's family). Assignments are distributed amongst the Bocconi Residences as follows: RESIDENCE HALL NUMBER OF PLACEMENTS* 261 BOCCONI - 13 single rooms with private bathrooms Via Bocconi, 12 – Milan - 248 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student 96 JAVOTTE - 8 single rooms with private bathrooms Via Giovenale, 4 - Milan - 88 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student 362 - 62 single rooms with private bathrooms ARCOBALENO - 288 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other Via F.lli Fraschini, 3 - Milan student (some of which are assigned to international exchange students) - 12 studios with private bathrooms 326 - 176 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments with bathrooms to be shared with one other student DUBINI - 140 single rooms in 2-bedroom apartments with bathrooms to be Via Vittore Buzzi, 7 - Milan shared with one other student - 10 studios, studio apartments are handicap-accessible with private bathrooms 333 - 317 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments with bathrooms to be SPADOLINI shared with one other student Via G. Spadolini, 12/A - Milan - 16 studios, studio apartments are handicap-accessible with private bathrooms 213 - 116 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments with bathrooms to be ISONZO shared with one other student Viale Isonzo, 23 - Milan - 11 rooms with private bathrooms - 86 rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student 176 - 112 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments with bathrooms to BLIGNY be shared with one other student Viale Bligny, 22 – Milan - 4 single rooms with private bathrooms - 60 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student * Rooms for students with disabilities are available in all Bocconi Residence Halls. 3 Art. 1.2 Types of Housing Applications Only one type of application may be submitted: - Full Rate; - Or Reduced Rate TYPE OF APPLICATION ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS DOCUMENTATION Students whose family’s income and assets are within the ISU Bocconi Requirements: Documentation of - ISEE € 20,998.37 economical character Reduced rate - ISPE € 35,434.78 required And who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in Art. 3.1 Documentation of a Students whose family’s income and assets Full rate financial nature not exceed the ISU requirements (Art. 3.1 and 3.2) required Students who obtain housing at the full rate may not request a decrease in the rate, even if they are subsequently eligible for ISU Bocconi financial aid and therefore assigned an ISU bracket. For a full rate housing assignment, no documentation is required, with the exception of students with a disability equal to or higher than 66%. These students must submit a copy of their valid ID or passport and a copy of the documentation issued by the Medical Committee, attesting the level of disability, to the email address [email protected], by and no later than 8 June 2016. Current residents interested in staying in a residence hall should submit an application as per the chart below: FULL RATE: CURRENT RESIDENTS From the 1st to the 2nd year of enrollment for students enrolled in a: FULL RATE - RENEWAL APPLICATION - Bachelor program - Integrated Master of Arts in Law program NEW ADMISSION AT THE FULL RATE (or reduced rate From the 3rd year of a Bachelor program to the 1st year if income/asset requirements are met) FOR FIRST- of a Master of Science program YEAR STUDENTS For all other years of enrollment LAST MINUTE APPLICATION (24 August at 3:00pm) REDUCED RATE: CURRENT RESIDENTS REDUCED RATE - RENEWAL APPLICATION: if the Reduced rate resident assigned the 1st, 2nd or 3rd ISU applicant does not meet the economic Bocconi bracket. requirements, the 4th ISU Bocconi bracket/full rate will be applied. REDUCED RATE - RENEWAL APPLICATION: the Reduced rate resident assigned the 4th ISU Bocconi bracket. 2016-2017 ISU Bocconi bracket will be applied accordingly. Reduced rate resident changing from the 3rd year of a REDUCED RATE – RENEWAL APPLICATION: the Bachelor program to the 1st year of a Master of Science 2016-2017 ISU Bocconi bracket will be applied program accordingly. 4 Art. 1.3 Final Check-out and Early Termination of Assignments By accepting your room assignment you have committed to the payment in full of the housing fees for the period indicated in your acceptance letter. Nonetheless, you may terminate your housing assignment early and, in line with the following: 1. Your € 500 housing deposit will be withheld; 2. You must terminate your housing assignment according to the time frames outlined below: TERMINATION OF Formal Communication of the Early FEE DUE ASSIGNMENT Termination to the Housing Center 25 August 2016* 25 August 2016 €500 Housing Deposit (for new entries only) by email to [email protected] 10 December 2016 1st Housing installment and 24 December 2016 online “check-out form” balance (if applicable) 10 April 2017 30 April 2017 1st and 2nd Housing installment online “check-out form” *For students submitting an application for New Admissions, any withdrawals by 25 August 2016 will be possible only for those students who have not already entered their room; after the first overnight stay, withdrawal will only be possible during the subsequent time windows. Restrictions indicated do not apply to those leaving housing to take part in International Programs and Internships, as stated in article 1.4. Students who decide to terminate housing assignments due to withdrawal from studies or incompletion of first- year enrollment are required to communicate this to the Housing Center by 30 September 2016. The deposit of €500 will be withheld and the students will be charged payment for the month of September and the resident activity fee.
