A win over Arkansas gives LSU a share of the SEC Western 10 at #15 Arizona State (ESPN) W, 35-31 Division title, along with Auburn, and the bid to the league's title game against Georgia on Dec. 3 in Atlanta. The game will also serve OCTOBER as Senior Day at LSU as the Tigers will honor 21 seniors before the contest. LSU is coming off a 40-7 win over Ole Miss last week to run its record to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in league play. Against Ole Miss, the Tigers limited the Rebels to 7 yards 1 * at Mississippi State (TigerVision) W, 37-7 rushing and only 175 yards of offense in the victory. The Tigers are ranked No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches poll and the 8 * at Vanderbilt (ESPN2) W, 34-6 Associated Press poll this week. Arkansas brings a 4-6 overall mark and a 2-5 SEC record into the LSU game. The 15 * #11/13 Florida (CBS) W, 21-17 Razorbacks have won two straight with wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State over the past two weeks. Last year, the 22 * #15/16 Auburn (ESPN) W, 20-17OT Tigers recorded a 43-14 win over Arkansas in Little Rock to claim “The Boot” for the second straight year. LSU brings one 29 North Texas (TigerVision) W, 56-3 of the nation's top defenses into the game as the Tigers will have to contend with a Razorback rushing attack that leads NOVEMBER the SEC and ranks No. 9 in the nation with 235 yards per game. Russell has connected on 164 of 263 passes for 2,130 yards, 14 TDs and just 6 interceptions. 19 * at Ole Miss (ESPN2) W, 40-7 25 * Arkansas (CBS) 1:30 p.m. Tigers Put Together Complete Game in 40-7 Win Over Ole Miss LSU dominated Ole Miss in all three phases of the contest - offense, defense and special teams - as the Tigers had little trouble in posting a 40-7 win over the Rebels. LSU never trailed in the contest as the Tigers led 2-0 after the first quarter and 16-0 at halftime following a 3-yard TD pass from JaMarcus Russell to Craig Davis and a 1-yard run by Joseph Addai. LSU stretched the lead to 23-0 midway through the third quarter when Russell connected with Early Doucet for a Arkansas (4-6, 2-5 SEC) 20-yard TD pass. Justin Vincent added a 1-yard TD run to open the fourth quarter to increase the lead to 33-0. Matt Flynn hit Bennie Brazell with a 55-yard TD pass to cap the scoring for LSU. Ole Miss spoiled the shutout with a TD at the 2:28 SEPTEMBER mark in the fourth quarter. For the game, the Tigers rolled up 380 yards of offense, while limiting the Rebels to just 7 yards 3 Missouri State W, 49-17 rushing and only 175 yards of total offense.
