107 Missouri Counties Voted Against Medicaid Expansion The nine jurisdictions that voted in support of Amendment 2 did so without a dedicated source of funding. Voters were never given the opportunity to determine how to pay for it. Funding Medicaid expansion would endanger other priorities important to Missourians, such as education, policing, and roads. It would leave Missouri at the mercy of federal mandates, and would divert scarce Medicaid resources away from those who truly need them the most. Missouri should decline to pursue this irresponsible policy.
