DAY 3 Sabbath – JERUSALEM, GARDEN TOMB Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralysed man — Sabbath worship at the Seventh-day Adventist church — Shrine of the Book, which houses the famous Dead Sea Scrolls — Garden Tomb — Western Wall, closing Sabbath. Overnight — Jerusalem. DAY 4 Sunday – QUMRAN, EN GEDI, MASADA, DEAD SEA Qumran, the site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls — En Gedi, where David hid from Saul and wrote many of the Psalms. Hike into the National Park to the waterfall — Masada, the spectacular cliff-top fortress where 960 Jewish zealots chose death at their own hands rather than surrender to the overwhelming Roman forces — Dead Sea experience. DAY 5 Monday – JERICHO, CITY OF DAVID, HEZEKIAH’S TUNNEL Wadi Qelt, hike the old road from Jerusalem to Jericho — Jericho, where the Israelites entered Canaan — City of David, archaeologi- cal site dating from the time of Abraham — Hezekiah’s tunnel, walk through to the Pool of Siloam. DAY 6 Tuesday – VIA DOLOROSA, OLD CITY, SOUND & LIGHT SHOW Holocaust Museum — Via Dolorosa, traditional path to the site of the crucifixion — Church of the Holy Sepulchre, likely site of the resurrection — free time in the Old City — Tower of David Sound and Light Show. DAY 8 Thursday – DAN, BANIAS, CHORAZIN Bethsaida, where Jesus healed the sight of a blind beggar — Dan, where Jeroboam erected an alter to lure the Israelites away from worshipping in Jerusalem — Banias Falls Nature Reserve, walk to Israel’s most spectacular waterfall — Banias Springs, the Biblical city of Caesarea Philippi, which lies at the foot of Mt Herman, and where Herod the Great built a pagan temple to Pan. Overnight — Sea of Galilee. DAY 9 Friday – NAZARETH, NAZARETH VILLAGE, SEPPHORIS Nazareth, where Gabriel appeared to Mary, and also the boyhood home of Jesus — Mount Precipice, believed to be the site from which the angry mob tried to throw Jesus from a cliff — Nazareth Village, which depicts life as it was in the time of Jesus — Sepphoris, a town close by that although not mentioned in Scripture played a significant role in the lives of those who grew up in Nazareth in the time of Christ — Sea of Galilee, open Sabbath. DAY 10 Sabbath – SEA OF GALILEE, MT BEATITUDES, CAPERNAUM Kursi, Biblical site of Gadarenes where Jesus freed two men from Satan — Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount — Capernaum, where Jesus visited the home of Peter and taught in the synagogue — Sea of Galilee, boat ride. Overnight — Sea of Galilee. DAY 11 Sunday – SAMARIA (ISRAEL) - AMMAN, JERASH (JORDAN) Samaria, where Jesus met the woman at the well — Cross to Jordan and farewell those not doing the Jordan add-on tour. Visit Amman, the Biblical site of Rabah where David sent Uriah to his death — Jerash, fabulous ruins of one of the 10 cities of the Decapolis. Overnight — Amman. DAY 12 Monday – MT NEBO, MACCHERUS L EXTRA Madaba, the Moabite city conquered by the Israelites as IONA they made their way to the Promised Land — Mt Nebo, OPT RDAN where Moses viewed the Promised Land before he died JO — Machaerus, the ruins of Herod’s fortress and the place where John the Baptist was beheaded. Overnight — Petra, Jordan. DAY 13 Tuesday – PETRA, WADI RUM, BED- OUIN CAMP Petra, the ancient Edomite city that existed in the time of Christ but was lost to the world for centuries — Bedouin Camp, overnight desert glamping experience. Overnight — Wadi Rum, Jordan. DAY 14 Wednesday – JORDAN — ISRAEL Wadi Rum Travel back to Tel Aviv for evening flight home.
