1 Creating your own working future [email protected] Travel Guide Travel Guide The training course “Creating your own working future” is funded by an Erasmus+: Youth in Action grant. This project will be held between 20th and 27th October 2016 in Lednice, Czech Republic. Your first task connected with this training course will be to get to Lednice where our project takes place. If you are traveling by plan, you can arrive to Prague Airport (Czech Republic) or Vienna Airport (Austria). From these airports it is recommended to travel to Brno by Yellow busses of Student Agency company (as this is considered the cheapest and most comfortable means of transport) and then to Břeclav by train. While deciding, please consider the price first. The platform of Student Agency buses is straight in from of the Arrival hall of Vienna and Prague Airport (Picture 1). You have to book the tickets in advance (if you want to go by bus) because the buses are usually already completely full a couple of days before their departure. In the website, use the form on the left: from Praha – Václav Havel Airport Prague to Brno from Vienna – Schwechat Airport Bbf. to Brno When you get to Brno, the bus will drop you off about 300 meters from Brno Main Train Station. You will cross the street twice to be able to see the old while building of the train station (Picture 2). At the Main Train Station in Brno, you can buy a single ticket to Břeclav: a fast train (R) – it takes about 45 minutes to arrive in Břeclav an express train (Sp) – takes about 45 minutes to arrive in Břeclav a “super fast train” – Euro City (EC) as well – 30 minutes from Brno to Břeclav a “normal trains” (OS) – 60 minutes 3 Creating your own working future [email protected] Travel Guide Please, do not go with Super City (SC) trains as they are very expensive. When going by train, please, always use the 2nd class. It is not possible to reimburse your tickets in case you travel by 1st class. You can check the train times here: www.idos.cz (choosing TRAINS option) – in the lower right corner there are language options to switch to English. From Břeclav to Lednice you can travel by bus. You can check the time here again: www.idos.cz (choosing BUSES option). In the Czech Republic it is only possible to pay the transportation with Czech crowns. 1 EUR = ± 27 CZK The best option for Slovakia is to take bus or train to Brno or Břeclav, then travel to Lednice (see the information above).
