Weeks passed. She hadn’t heard if she would get any aid. The semester started and still no money. Finally, a couple weeks after school started, she got her aid. “They take too long getting you your financial aid,” McGee said. “Fortunately, I have a job, or else I’d go hungry.” Many students experience the same problems with getting their financial aid early enough to pay their bills and plan their Kaori Hazama / Staff photographer semester.
