Day 1 Arriving at Longreach Airport, your private driver will meet you to transfer you the short distance to your accommodation for the next 4 nights, Saltbush Retreat. Saltbush Retreat is a luxury glamping experience capturing the essence of the outback. Take in stunning views from your canvas tent complete with a luxury en suite bathroom and private outdoor deck. Swim in the saltwater pool and relax around the evening fire pit under a starry night sky. The sense of freedom will be heightened as you gaze out to the surrounding Mitchell Grass Plains. You will love this truly unique outback Experience. The rest of the day will be yours to relax and enjoy your surrounds. Later that evening your driver will transfer you to the local Bushranger Bistro for dinner in Longreach. Australian Luxury Escapes Day 2 Discovery tour of QANTAS Founders Museum Your guide will meet you at 10am this morning for a wonderful tour of the QANTAS Founders Museum. Upon entering the museum, you will see an award winning, world-class museum and cultural display, eloquently telling the story of Qantas through interpretive displays, interactive exhibits, original and replica aircraft and an impressive collection of genuine artifacts. The aircraft collection incorporates five of the world’s most significant aircraft – the Consolidated PBY Catalina Flying Boat, Douglas DC-3, Lockheed L1049 Super Constellation, Boeing 707-138 and the legendary Boeing 747- 238. In addition, we have full scale replicas of some of the most important aircraft in the early Qantas fleet – de Havilland DH-61 Giant Moth, de Havilland DH-50, and Avro 504K Dyak; Qantas’ first aircraft. You will have a few hours here this morning at your own leisure to truly appreciate the incredible museum. Enjoy lunch in Longreach at a local café before heading back to your accommodation where you will have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy your surrounds. Dinner tonight is a special treat. Your guide will meet you and transfer you to the Stockman’s Hall of Fame for a wonderful Outback Show demonstrating the art of the modern cattleman accompanied by a traditional Australian Dinner. Afterwards your driver will transfer you back to your accommodation. Australian Luxury Escapes Day 3 Discover Dinosaurs in the Outback Your guide will meet you early this morning for the 2 hour scenic drive to Winton, home of the Age of the Dinosaurs Museum. Australian Age of Dinosaurs houses the world’s largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils and comprises a Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Reception Centre and Dinosaur Canyon. Today you will have the chance to visit the museum and take a look first hand at this amazing Natural History Museum to learn about Australia’s pre historic past. The day includes a guided 3 hour tour including visiting the Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Collection Room and Dinosaur Canyon. Later enjoy lunch at the Cretaceous Cafe before a tour of Winton in the afternoon. Later we make our way back to Longreach and your accommodation. Settle in for the night in your luxury accommodation. Day 4 Depart for home Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning in your luxury surrounds.
