THE LATE 2006 debut of Doctor Who has seen its fans attempt all manner of activities to stave off withdrawal. Some have downloaded episodes from the Internet, or even legitimately purchased them. Fans have tried to watch the series on other household appliances; toasters, tumble dryers or bidets. Some have even turned to watching other television programs, such has been their desperation.
