She has worked for BBC Breakfast, Radio 4, East Midlands Today, BBC Three, Inside Out, Sunday Politics and the BBC News Channel as a reporter and presenter. In 2017 she anchored the BBC’s Partnership & Engagement General Election Debate in the East Midlands, skilfully enabling a public audience to put their questions to a range of politicians. Geeta studied at a state school in Nottingham and passionately believes every young person should have access to a well-rounded education. 8:45pm Interval 9:10pm Guest Speaker Guest Speaker Professor Hardev Singh Hardev Singh Chair-person & Founding Trustee of 9:15pm ‘The Haydn Green Foundation UK’ Awards continue After finishing, BSc (Hons) and MSc in Mathematics from India, Hardev moved to the UK in 1985 and in 1996 completed his MBA from Nottingham Business School. After a number of senior management Staff Member of the Year (Academic & Pastoral Support) presented by Hardev Singh positions in London, Hardev moved to Nottingham and started his own businesses including food retail Staff Member of the Year (Academy Support Teams / Central Business Services) and investment properties. Mentor of the Year In early 2013, he was appointed to manage a group of companies founded by the late Haydn Green from Nottingham. He created ‘The SCITT Trainee of the Year Haydn Green Foundation’ in memory of Haydn, who was also instrumental in saving the worlds oldest professional football league club Achievement Award in Nottingham. Since its establishment, the foundation has been very active not only supporting good causes but also innovation and entrepreneurship as it recognises that mere financial support is not just enough to tackle worldwide societal and economic challenges. She supports students who are new to the English language she worked hard to ensure that our youngest children had a positive start to their educational journey in F2. In September she took on a new role, working across school to provide PPA cover and to deliver interventions to groups of pupils. Rachel Peabody Sue Baker Sue’s passion for reading, success for every pupil and commitment to Bluecoat Primary is do’ mentality. Rachel is relentless in her drive for students to achieve and surpass their infectious. She is a real advocate for our pupils and will always strive to ensure that their target grades.
