G.N. 1869 Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Chapter 370) (Notice under section 8(2)) PWP ITEM NO. 6461TH CENTRAL KOWLOON ROUTE Amendments under section 7 Notice is hereby given that under powers delegated by the Secretary for Transport and Housing under section 3(3) of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Chapter 370) (‘the Ordinance’), the Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport) proposes to further amend the works and the use (‘the Works and the Use’) originally shown on Plans Nos. 287786/ GAZ/1000 to 287786/GAZ/1012 (‘the Plans’) and described in the scheme annexed thereto, and as amended by Amendment Plans Nos. 287786/GAZ/1000A, 287786/GAZ/1002A, 287786/ GAZ/1003A, 287786/GAZ/1011A and 287786/GAZ/1012A (‘the Amendment Plans’) and described in the amendment scheme annexed thereto. The Plans and scheme were referred to in G.N. 6472 published under section 8(2) of the Ordinance on 1 November 2013 and 8 November 2013. The Amendment Plans and amendment scheme were referred to in G.N. 2448 published under section 8(2) of the Ordinance on 27 March 2015 and 2 April 2015. The Works and the Use as originally shown on the Plans and described in the scheme annexed thereto as amended by the amendments shown on the Amendment Plans and described in the amendment scheme annexed thereto were authorized under section 11(2)(b) of the Ordinance and the notice of authorization was published in G.N. 190 on 15 January 2016 and 22 January 2016. The proposed further amendments are shown on the Second Amendment Plans Nos. 287786/ GAZ/1034, 287786/GAZ/1035 and 287786/GAZ/1036 (‘the Second Amendment Plans’) and described in the second amendment scheme annexed thereto. The part of the Works and the Use proposed for further amendment shown on Plans Nos. 287786/GAZ/1031, 287786/GAZ/1032 and 287786/GAZ/1033 annexed to the Second Amendment Plans are for reference only. The Second Amendment Plans, second amendment scheme and Plans Nos. 287786/GAZ/1031, 287786/ GAZ/1032 and 287786/GAZ/1033 have been deposited in the Land Registry. The general nature and extent of the proposed further amendments are as follows:— (i) deletion of a section of the originally proposed semi-enclosure, a section of the originally proposed cantilever noise barrier and two sections of the originally proposed vertical noise barrier along Gascoigne Road Flyover near Public Square Street at Yau Ma Tei; (ii) deletion of the originally proposed temporary closure and reconstruction of a section of the existing at grade carriageway and a section of the existing central reserve/refuge island at Yau Ma Tei; (iii) revision of the alignment of a section of the originally proposed cantilever noise barrier at Yau Ma Tei; and (iv) revision of sections of the originally proposed amenity areas, road tunnel building areas and operations areas at Kai Tak Development. Any person who wishes to object to the proposed further amendments is required to address to the Secretary for Transport and Housing an objection in writing, which can be submitted via one of the following means:— (1) By post or by hand to the Transport and Housing Bureau’s Drop in Box No. 6 located at the 2nd Floor Entrance, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. The box is available for use between 8.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday (except public holidays); (2) By fax to (852) 2868 4643; or (3) By email to ([email protected]). The objector should describe his interest and the manner in which he alleges that he will be affected by the proposed further amendments in his notice of objection. Objectors are requested to provide contact details to facilitate communication. A notice of objection should be delivered to the Secretary for Transport and Housing not later than 14th day of May 2019. Personal Information Collection Statement Any information, including the personal data, submitted to the Secretary for Transport and Housing in connection with any written objections/comments will be used for the processing of the objections/comments and other related purposes. The provision of any information, including the personal data, other than the information as required under section 10(2) of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Chapter 370) is voluntary. However, it may not be possible to process the objections/comments if such information, including the personal data, is not sufficiently provided. Any information, including the personal data, so submitted may be disclosed to the relevant government departments and other persons, organizations or agencies which are required to handle the objections/comments and related matters. Persons who have so submitted their personal data have the rights to request access to and correction of their personal data held by us.
