Nature Photography Workshop with Theo Allofs Theo Allofs has been a full-time professional photographer for over 30 years. Since 1995 he has specialized in nature photography (wildlife and landscapes). During his career he has received many international awards including eleven prizes in the renowned BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition. His work has been published worldwide in books, calendars, newspapers and magazines including, National Geographic, New York Times, Newsweek, Time Magazine, GEO, Der Spiegel, Focus, Smithsonian, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Terre Sau- vage and Australia Geographic. Theo has written numerous articles on photography in Outdoor Photographer, FOTO/Sweden, Australian Foto, PhotoLife/Canada. His presentation supported by many sample images projected on a large screen will help understanding the power of light and composition - the basics of photogra- phy. But he will also share his secrets of how to achieve award-winning images and will help you to extend your artistic vision. Theo will explain the attributes of an excellent image, why “less is more” in a landscape photograph and how to open your mind to see opportunities when conditions are far from being photo-perfect. We can’t rely on nature to cooperate with our photography needs. We have to work with the conditions nature presents to us.
