There were trades and a couple questionable selections and for what happened in the first round here's where to find the information. No.33: Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International Jacksonville Jaguars improve secondary with the second best safety in the draft. No.34: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee San Francisco 49ers trade down to the 40th selection and also receive the 216th pick and a third-round pick in 2014. The Tennessee Titans took Hunter to give Jake Locker another target and as protection in case Kenny Britt can't stay healthy. No.35: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford The Philadelphia Eagles take the second best tight end in the draft and give Michael Vick a great target. No.36: Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State A solid move by the Detroit Lions to help improve their defense with the selection of Slay. No.37: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina Cincinnati Bengals needed a running back and took Bernard who has excellent speed and can also be utilized in the passing game. No.38: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame The Arizona Cardinals traded down to no.45 and also received the 110th pick from the San Diego Chargers. With a laundry list of needs Te'o fills the need with the departure of Takeo Spikes. No.39: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia The New York Jets got their replacement for Mark Sanchez with the drafting of Smith. No.46: Kiko Alonso, ILB, Oregon Alonso is a physical linebacker and will surprise teams with his coverage skills a very good pick for the Bills. No.47: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State With the selection of Escobar the Dallas Cowboys give Tony Romo another tight end to throw to. No.48: Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State An interesting pick the Pittsburgh Steelers got the type of running back that organization craves. No.49: Jonathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State The New York Giants took a run stopper with Hankins. No.50: Jonathan Bostic, ILB, Florida 2 / 4 The highest linebacker taken by the Chicago Bears since Brian Urlacher who Bostic will replace. No.51: David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State Washington Redskins take one of the bigger corners in the draft did struggle at times in 2012. Taken Vance McDonald a tight end who should start right away as the no.2 tight end. No.56: Arthur Brown, OLB, Kansas State The Seattle Seahawks traded down receiving the 165th and 199th pick from the Baltimore Ravens. Brown is an excellent fit for the defending champions. No.57: D.J. Swearinger, S, South Carolina With a lack of depth at safety the Houston Texans make a tremendous pick. No.58: Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin Needing an eventual replacement to Willis McGahee the Denver Broncos got their man with Ball. No.59: Aaron Dobson, Marshall, WR Patriots second pick of the second round and pick up a big receiver in Dobson. No.60: Robert Alford, CB, Southeast Louisiana 3 / 4 Atlanta Falcons took another cornerback and Alford could also return punts. No.61: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama An interesting choice by the Packers in terms of running back.
