AWARDS PROCESSED Research and Other Sponsored Activities September 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007 The awards detailed in this list were processed September 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007. The dollar values depict the best available estimate of the funding the University should receive over the life of the award. These values may be modified, as additional data become available relative to future funding prospects. These modifications are not reported in the attached list. As a result, the dollar values of awards presented in this list will differ from the year-end totals. The full amount of an award is recorded in the year in which it was received. Often these funds are expended over several years, making comparisons between awards and expenditures somewhat misleading. Research expenditures are presented here to provide a trend line for the current fiscal year. In September 2006 there were only 28 such awards valued at $54.9 million with the largest award being $6.0 million. ------------ RESEARCH EXPENDITURES ------------ Federal Expendable Other Total Restricted Funds Expenditures August 2007 $111,943,445 $37,515,004 $149,458,449 August 2006 $105,375,881 $37,054,898 $142,430,779 Percent Change 6.2% 1.2% 4.9% Data Source: Division of Research Development and Administration Number of Awards Processed 300 J G J GJ 250 C C G C C C G C 200 C G G G G C G C G C G 150 wards Processed G A C C 100 C FY 2006 Number of 50 G FY 2007 J FY 2008 0 July August Sept.
