Basic and Applied Ecology is the official journal of the “Gesellschaft für Ökologie”, the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The acceptance of a paper implies that it has been reviewed and recommended by at least two reviewers of which at least one is from the Editors or the Editorial Board. Article types Research papers Research papers report the results of original research. The material must not have been previously published elsewhere. Full length articles are up to 6,000 words.
