Riverdale Jewish Center Guide for Davening at Home ∙ Pesach 2021/5781 Davening at Home: Some Helpful Reminders • During the month of Nissan, Tachanun, Av HaRachamim and Tzidkotcha are omitted on Shabbat • We omit Mashiv HaRuach (or say Morid HaTal) from now until Sukkot • Mizmor LeTodah and Lamnatzeach are omitted from Chol HaMoed davening • On the 8th Day of Pesach Yizkor can be recited at home with Av HaRachamim • Yoh Eli and Tefillat Tal are omitted at home on Yom Tov Thursday March 25th • Fast of the First Born • Siyyum at scheduled minyanim and at 8:30AM on Zoom • Bedikat (search for) Chametz after nightfall (7:15pm) Friday March 26th • Last day to sell Chametz • Burning of Chametz - before 11:47am • Candles: 6:56PM Shabbat March 27th (Erev Pesach/Shabbat HaGadol) • Early Shacharit Minyanim to permit eating Chametz before 10:32am • Regular Shabbat davening • Torah Readings - Parshat Tzav Leviticus 6:1-8:36 - Haftorah (for Shabbat HaGadol): Malachi 3:4-24 • Dispose of Chometz by 10:32am • Latest time to say Kol Chamirah - 11:56am • Seudat Shlishit should be non-Chometz foods • Mincha (6:50pm) • Regular Shabbat Mincha davening • Yom Tov Maariv 7:50pm • Insert Vayidabeir instead of VeShomru just before Amidah • Yom Tov Maariv Amidah, including VeTodieynu for Motzei Shabbat. • [As part of Maariv, Hallel is not recited without a minyan] • Do NOT prepare for Seder until after 7:57pm • After 7:57pm: - Candles, including Shehechiyanu - Yom Tov Kiddush, including Havdalah and Shehechiyanu as part of the Haggadah.
