Fitted with solar power panel and two replaceable AAA batteries. Features sensitivity and delay speed control for switching from dark to light. This helps to prevent arc eye when welding at high power, while still providing fast switching for tack welding. Deluxe contoured helmet design gives full neck protection and protects lens from scratching when helmet is laid down. Features comfortable headband and non-slip quick-release ratchet mechanism. Suitable for MIG, TIG and arc welding. The helmet is not suitable for use with laser welding or gas welding/cutting and will not protect against explosive devices or corrosive liquids. Pitted or scratched cover lens reduce vision clarity, severely reduce impact protection and should be replaced immediately to prevent injury. Optional accessories: magnifier lens, soft bag for helmet. The sensitivity can be set to “ H ”(high) or “ L ”(low) by using the infinitely dial knob on the ADJUSTING VIEW ANGLE back of the shade cartridge. The “Mid-High” There are 5 holes on both sides of the helmet setting is the normal setting for everyday (see Fig.2). You can change view angle position use. Before Fig.2 ‘Y’ Fig.1 restarting welding work, Ensure that the shade function is turned back on before SELECTING DELAY TIME welding again (see Fig.4). When welding ceases, the viewing window GRIND 9 automatically changes from dark back to TEST LOW light but with a pre-set delay to compensate BATTERY 13 for any bright afterglow on the workpiece. 10 The delay time / response can be set to “S” Fig.5 (short: 0.1 sec.) or “L” (long: 1.0 sec.). As 12 11 you require using the infinitely dial knob on Fig.4 the back of the shade cartridge (see Fig.3a). TEST It is recommended to use a shorter delay Press and hold test to preview shade selection with spot welding applications and a long before welding (see Fig.5). When released delay with applications using higher currents. then viewing window will automatically return Longer delays can also be used for lower to the light state (3.5 Shade). current TIG welding, and TIG / MIG / MAG pulse. POWER This ADF cartridge is powered by solar cell and 2 AAA alkaline batteries. Replace batteries when LOW BATTERY light is lit (see Fig.5). S L L H You are now ready to use the helmet.
