PRESS RELEASE MIKE BONGIORNO: SPECIAL MEDIASET PROGRAMME A YEAR AFTER HIS DEATH Mediaset remembers the important figure of Mike Bongiorno a year after his death on 8 September 2010, with a series of programmes on Canale 5 and Retequattro. Sunday 5 September 2010 Canale 5 begins with Mario Giordans "Bikini", which, from 8.35 pm will remember Mike with some unseen images, including those taken just two days before his sudden death Tuesday 7 September 2010 Retequattro will show again, from midnight, the first ever episode of "Superflash", the first television quiz show presented by Mike Bongiorno on Canale 5 on 23 December 1982. Wednesday 8 September 2010 Again on Retequattro, at 3.00 pm, the well-known episode of "Vite straordinarie" completely dedicated to Mike: two hours of unforgettable images and comments by Antonio Ricci, Fiorello, Gerry Scotti and Silvio Berlusconi. The baton then shifts to Canale 5: at 6.00 pm, as part of "Pomeriggio 5", Barbara D'Urso will dedicated extensive space to Mike with exclusive comments by many who knew and loved him. Finally Retequattro will round up this memorial series with an all-night "Viva Mike!": non-stop from midnight to the morning with th best of the history of the presenter on Mediaset and, for the first time, the first re- broadcasting of two complete episodes of "I sogni nel cassetto" (1979), the first programme done by Mike Bongiorno for TeleMilano, the channel that became Canale 5 in 1980. In addition, all of the Mediaset news programmes, Tg5, Studio aperto, Tg4 and Tgcom, will remember Mike with extensive items during the bulletins on the 7 and 8 September 2010.
