(206)-296-4444 .From 1-5 take exit 142B to merge onto Hwy 18 westbound towards S 348th St. Continue on S. 348th ST and SW Campus Approximately 1.4 miles. Facility will be on your right. FACILITY Site of the 1990 Goodwill Games and the 1991, 1994, 1997, 2000, and 2006 Spring National Championships, 2008 and 2012 NCAA Men’s Division 1 Championships, 2009 U.S. Open, 2009 and 2014 Junior Nationals, and 2009 and 2015 Short Course Nationals. The competition pool is two indoor 25 yard pools with 8 eight-foot lanes, equipped with 16 paragon-style starting blocks, backstroke flags and 6” anti-wave lane lines. The area between the bulkheads is closed at all times. Additional separate 7 lane warm up/down pool. Starting blocks meet YMCA and USA Swimming height requirements. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 103.2.3 is 6’ 9” at the start end and 6’ 9” at the turn end. The competition pool has been certified with USA Swimming in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. 2500 spectator seats. Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center will provide the computer timing. Omega electronic timing system. Full-read scoreboard. Age Groups for competition: 8-Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-21. See the event list for further details. Session 1 will be all A and B events, swum combined and split scored, for swimmers aged 13-21. Events, with a few exceptions for distance events, are Prelim/Finals Distance are Timed Finals. Swimmers who earn a “B” time in prelims are eligible for Finals. 12 year olds that wish to be eligible for Finals and have the 13 year old A time may choose to swim up, and will be scored as a 13 year old. Session 222 will be all A and B events, swum combined and split scored, for swimmers aged 12 and under. All events are Timed finals. 200 Freestyle, 8U 100 freestyle and 9-10 100 strokes are limited to swimmers with A seed times only. Session 3 will be all Finals for 13-14 and 15-21 swimmers who placed in the top 8 in Prelims. There will be no Consolation Final. We will plan to use one tank. If the timeline requires, we will use two (and not hand out awards during the meet). TEAMS’ ELIGIBILITY Each team must have sent to the Pacific Region North Group Rep its completed Registration Form and fee. All teams and coaches must register on the YMCA Swimming National website. Teams must be in good standing with PSSA, not owing monies for prior entries, dues, or fines. Obtain your Certificate of Insurance from your local YMCA Association naming KCAC, PNS, PSSA, and YMCA of Greater Seattle as insured. Entries will not be accepted unless Certificate of Insurance has been received. COACHES’ REQUIREMENTS ALL coaches, head and assistants, are required to have: Current CPR, First Aid, Coaches Safety or Lifeguard (with coaches’ safety) and YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming. Proof of coaching certification must be produced on request at any time to the meet referees. Please include your head coach’s cell phone number with your entries. SWIMMERS’ ELIGIBILITY Participation requirement: Each competitor must have represented his/her YMCA in three closed YMCA meets since January 31st, 2015. 90 Day Rule: Each competitor must have been a YMCA member in good standing for a period of 90 days prior to the meet (as of November 1st, 2015). Age: The age of the swimmer will be his/her age on January 30th, 2016. Post High School ::: A swimmer who has graduated from high school and is 21 years of age or younger can participate, as long as that swimmer has never participated (in practices or in meets) in a collegiate swimming program at any time. Qualifying Time PeriodPeriod: To enter “A” events, swimmers must have obtained qualifying times since January 31st, 2015 Disabilities: Athletes with disabilities are welcome. Please provide advance notice of necessary accommodations that may be needed. Handicapped access to the pool is available. EntEntEntryEnt ry Deadline: Monday January 18th, 2016 5:00 PM. No late entries, No Deck Entries ENTRIES Swimmers may enter a total of 3 individual events plus 2 relays. Relays: Teams may enter more than two relays per relay event in the 100/200 Relays. However, only the two fastest relay teams per team will be scored and will receive awards. It is not necessary to indicate in advance which relays will be your “scoring” relays. Entry FeesFees: $40 flat fee per swimmer. Payment must be initiated by January 18, 2016 and received by January 31st, 2016. Hy-tek electronic entries required. Entries must include swimmer’s name, age, team code, event name and number and the swimmer’s best short course yard time. Mail:Mail:1) hardcopy with proof of time option with the January 31st, 2015 qualifying period for “A” swimmers, 2)Payment or copy of submitted payment request, and 3) Certificate of Insurance. SWIMS Database: Include USA Swimming # for each swimmer whose results may be loaded into the USA Swimming SWIMS database, in the entry data, on their Hy-Tek Team Manager file, or the results will NOT be posted into SWIMS database. AWARDS Individual Awards: Every swimmer will receive a swim meet pin. We will medal 1-8 in individual events and ribbon to 16th, for “A” times and Finals, and smaller medals for “B” times. We will medal 1-3 in relays, ribbon to 8th. Team Awards: Team Trophies, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. High Point: Individual High point awards for the top three swimmers in each gender and age group. YMCA Values Award: Each team must submit a candidate to represent each YMCA core value for age groups 12U and age groups 13-21. Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. Each will receive recognition. SCORING Scored to 16 places: Individual events 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Relay events 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-18-14-12-19-8-6-4-2 Swimmers who do not make the qualifying time for the event will not score in the event but will receive the place award. MEET RULES Technical Rules: Current YMCA of USA rules/USA Swimming Technical Rules govern throughout the meet, including warm- ups. Protests will be handled in the manner described in Section 102.11 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations. A/B eventsevents:::: will be swum together and scored separately based on final time. Swimmers in prelim/final events may advance to finals with a “B” time if there are insufficient swimmers with “A” times to fill the final. A only eventsevents:::: - A swimmer very close to the time standard may request to be allowed to swim. At the Meet Director’s discretion, entries will be accepted into available open lanes, fastest to slowest. Include any such requests in the email message with your teams’ entry file. Alternation: Events will alternate pool by heat in sessions 1 and 2. 500 and 1650 FreFreeeeestylestylestyle:: A positive check-in by the announced deadline at the Clerk of Course is required in order to swim. The deadlines will be printed in the Meet Program and announced at the Coaches’ Meeting. These events will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women and men. The Meet Referee reserves the right to combine the girls’ and boys’ 1650 Freestyle events.
