ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL (OXNAM ROAD, JEDBURGH) (PART TIME 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2020 The Scottish Borders Council in exercise of their powers under Section 84(1) and 84(1)(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having complied with the statutory requirements of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999 as amended hereby make the following Order:- 1. This order may be cited as The Scottish Borders Council (Oxnam Road, Jedburgh) (Part Time 20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2020 and shall come into operation on 10 August 2020. 2. The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament. 3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour when so indicated by appropriate traffic signs and flashing lights along the length of road specified in the Schedule attached to this Order.
