Government Defeat in Lords on Immigration and Social Security Co- ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill Monday 05/10/2020 On 05/10/2020 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill: To limit the length of time that EEA or Swiss nationals may be held in immigration detention to 28 days.
