WowBy Jasmine RobersonI absolutely loved this story! It threw me through quite a few loops at first and it really brought me home and touched my heart and soul. I love this book! And I love how it's not about the main protagonist, the protagonist of this story is actually a side character which made it even more interesting cause then you get someone else's story and root for them instead of the actual lucky protagonist who seemed to be more of a spy than anything. Love the storyline and the character developmentBy NicLawUnlike many of the other reviewers here, I did not receive a free copy of this book in exchange for writing an honest review. However, it was FREE through and I am very happy to have downloaded it on a whim. I really love the story line from the author. It's creative, original, and I really had trouble putting the book down. The book is written in first person by a character who realizes that she is not the "main character" of the story. She has somehow been transported into a book that she read several years ago, and upon making that discovery, knows that her fate is to be destroyed by the Main Character. She does the best she can to prepare for, and hopefully survive the moment when she and the Main Character battle, and finds that she is able to influence and even change parts of the "story" from what she read in the book. While some of the fantasy details may seem confusing to those not familiar with Chinese mythology, I believe that many details are actually based on actual myths and legends (and some are just thrown in there for fun).
