MAP Priorities (1) Response to housing development (2) Young People. (3) The Wider Church Community. SMART Goals for action for Deanery and any action or assistance from other bodies eg DMPC 1. Appoint a Pioneer Minister in the new housing development at Bishop’s Stortford North - may be ecumenical; may require diocesan/external funding [being led by Churches Together; development currently awaiting clarity over land rights] 2. Continue to liaise with diocesan Development Plans Monitoring Group re strategy for Gilston Park 3. Appoint a Deanery Youth Officer as a resource for local churches [after working out an appropriate structure for funding, support and supervision and agreeing the job description and person specification] 4. Hold a series of deanery events annually, in order to share good practice, identify training needs, communicate with and between parishes and foster greater cohesion; this could include an open Synod meeting and/or forums for groups eg churchwardens, youth workers The Deanery will also continue to BENEFICE CMF D.I.
