In addition it includes descriptions of specialized recreation maintenance supplies and equipment available only through the open market. This guide is issued as a convenience to Forest Service recreation personnel. Table of Contents Guide Objectives • Provide field personnel with basic information on what products are available to carry out the daily operation and maintenance of a recreation program, where products can be purchased and what they cost. • Provide a source guide of Earth friendly products and supplies for recreation maintenance including chemicals, tools, materials and products made with post-consumer recycled content. • Standardize when possible recreation equipment, products, materials and supplies. • Facilitate advanced planning and procurement. • Effect savings through consolidated purchasing. • Provide a guide of available new products for use in recreation maintenance that can meet universal access needs.
