This guide has information about public, private and non-profit agencies for individuals with developmental disabilities. Because we could not fit every resource into one guide, we would like to refer you to another community resource for basic needs such as food and shelter, as well as drug and alcohol treatment, counseling, and volunteerism. Community Action of Skagit County is a community-based organization that provides services and advocates for the needs of those experiencing poverty. Community Action has 39 anti-poverty programs, including the Critical Needs program, Energy Assistance Program, Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC), and the Veteran’s Assistance Program.
