HEP’s 2017 Action Agenda – a critical mandate of the Clean Water Act – will guide how HEP uses its funding, programmatic, and research capacities to carry out those shared goals. The Bronx Council for Environmental Quality (BCEQ) has sought to establish — as an Inherent Human Right — a sound, forward-looking environmental policy regarding an aesthetic, unpolluted, environment protecting a natural and historic heritage. Since 2001, they have worked on water issues, and recently formed the East Bronx Coastal Working Group for Westchester Creek, the Hutchinson River and the Long Island Sound.
