To take full advantage of the opportunities that hosting an Olympic Games and Paralympic Games can provide, clear objectives must be in place for what you want the Games to deliver to your citizens, city, region and country. And to be truly sustainable, these objectives must align with your long-term development planning and goals. A strong vision can inspire not only your local com- munity but also the worldwide community and be 1 VISION, your showcase to the world. Your Olympic project should have a common thread that runs through the lead-up to the Games and during Games-time and GAMES CONCEPT beyond into the delivery of legacy projects. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will work closely with you to develop an Olympic project that is sustainable and cost-effective, as well as AND LEGACY aligned with your sporting, economic, social and environmental long-term planning needs.
