Winsford Diamonds welcomed in a new era as the debuted in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division in the first season with the league. They got off to an absolute flyer as they lead a seasoned Upton JFC 5-0 at halftime with goals from Mitchel Weedall 2, Jamie Ellis, Marcus Robinson and Zak Finnegan. Upton had other ideas though and in the second half they just fell short of a memorable come back as the game ended 5-4 to Winsford. Unitor made the trip to Cairns Crescent in Blacon and came away with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Vinnie O’Toole, Michael Skillen and Paul Wallace. Dan Morgan was the Blacon scorer. Mason Flavell and Luke Edwards 3 were the marksmen for St Saviours as they beat Groves Athletic 4-0 in their local derby. In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship A Upton JFC Youth lead the way after their 5- 1 victory over Christleton with goals coming from Sam Ismay, Jack Sconce 2, Mac Johnson and Josh Dymond. Helsby Res had Adam Harding to thank for both their goals in a 2-2 draw with Shaftesbury Youth, John Carter and Steven Taafe. Paul Joyner hit a hat trick and Ryan Bradbury added a fourth as Hoole Rovers beat Princes Villa 4-2. Stephen Lewis and Mark Hammo netted for Princes. Chester Nomads III recorded their second 3-3 draw of the season. This time it was against AFC Park North. Cam Black 2 and James Lloyd netted for Nomads with the Park replies coming courtesy of Lee Doyle, Williams Byrne and Sam Price. Winsford Saxons made it 2 from 2 in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship B after a 3- 0 win over newcomers Runcorn Social FC Res. Goals from Barry Jones, Jaymie Roberts and Greg Lumsden ensured them the points and they will now move onto next weeks game away to FC Duddon full of confidence. Rossmore Rangers sit second after they beat Chester Nomads IV 5-1 with goals from Lewis Cooney, Nathan Moffett, Ryan Bowyer 2 and Andy Hughes. Callum Price replied for Nomads. Iain Colligan scored the only goal of the game as Black Horse beat FC Duddon 1-0. Waggon and Horses went down 5-0 at home to Neston Nomads Development who had Will Shuker 4 and Martin Marshall on the scoresheet. In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 1 Avenue Vets got off to a winning start, beating Ellesmere Port FC Vets 1-0 thanks to a Rob Courtney strike. In the days other game Neston Nomads FC Vets drew 2-2 with Higher Bebington Kelma FC Vets. Lee Dunbar and James Kelly were the Nomads scorers with Johnny Molson and Matty Moore replying for Kelma.
