Lions International Purposes To Organize, charter and supervise service clubs to be known as Lions clubs. To Coordinate the activities and standardize the administration of Lions clubs. To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding. To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, howev- er, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members. To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial re- ward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeav- ors. 10 LIONS CODE OF ETHICS To Show my faith in the worthiness of my vo- cation by industrious application to the end that I may merit a reputation for quality of service. To Seek success and to demand all fair remu- neration or profit as my just due, but to accept no profit or success at the price of my own self- respect lost because of unfair advantage taken or because of questionable acts on my part. To Remember that in building up my business it is not necessary to tear down another's; to be loyal to my clients or customers and true to myself. Whenever a doubt arises as to the right or eth- ics of my position or action towards others, to resolve such doubt against myself. To Hold friendship as an end and not a means. To hold that true friendship exists not on account of the service performed by one to another, but that true friendship demands noth- ing but accepts service in the spirit in which it is given. Always to bear in mind my obligations as a cit- izen to my nation, my state, and my communi- ty, and to give them my unswerving loyalty in word, act, and deed. To give them freely of my time, labor and means. To Aid others by giving my sympathy to those in distress, my aid to the weak, and my sub- stance to the needy. To Be Careful with my criticism and liberal with my praise; to build up and not destroy. 11 ZONE CHAIRS ZONE 1 Sue Marchetti 4 Melissa Dr Chiefland Beverly Hills, FL 34465 Crystal River Crystal River KB 352.249.7269 Homosassa suemarchetti6!gmail.com Ingliss Yankeetown ZONE 2 Steven Wood Beverly Hills 2214 Bluegrass St Floral City Inverness, FL 34453 High Point Inverness 727.459.2696 Nature coast [email protected] Spring Hill ZONE 3 Paul Holland 322 E Rose Lane Fruitland Park Lady Lake, FL 32159 Lake Sumter Orange Blossom Grd 352.205.9952 Tavares [email protected] Wildwood Sumter 12 ZONE 4 Steven Van Varick 718 Kellys Cv Clermont Lockhart Ocoee, FL 34761 Mount Dora 321.354.8796 Ocoee [email protected] ZONE 5 Bob Armstrong Auburndale Cypress Gardens 11 Forest Dr Davenport Davenport, FL 33831 Kathleen Lake Alfred 863.206.3901 Lakeland Dixieland [email protected] Lakeland North ZONE 6 Ron Legendre Kissimmee 2869 Lake Tohopekaliga Blvd Longwood Lk Mary Kissimmee, FL 34746 Orlando College Park Orlando Hispanic 407.846.6185 Osceola Latin [email protected] Oviedo Winter Springs South Orange County ZONE 7 Linda Erdman 625 Applegate Terr DeLeon Springs Deltona, FL 32725 Deland Orange City 386.789.4336 Orlando Knights [email protected] Pierson 13 ZONE 8 Jeffrey Follmer New Smyrna 4650 Links village Dr Ponce Inlet Port Orange Unit B70 South Daytona Ponce Inlet, FL 32127 Daytona Halifax 386.322.6045 [email protected] ZONE 9 Mary Yochum Daytona Beach P O Box 2884 Ormond Beach Ormond Beach, FL 32175 Ormond by the Sea Palm Coast 386.441.4421 Volusia [email protected] ZONE 10 Lance Smith Cocoa Beach Palm Bay Happy 585 Cinnamon Dr Palm Bay Progressive Satellite Beach, FL 32937 Rockledge Satellite Beach 321.403.3971 Viera [email protected] 14 INDUCTION CEREMONY Since you have expressed a desire to affiliate with this club, and with Lions Clubs International, I now ask that you respond to my words with a simple “I DO‖ or ―I WILL‖ Do you hereby accept membership in the Lions Club of __________________________________
