Sanitary Inspector 9416384421 The contract for sanitation facilities for the entire mela area has been finalized by the Municipal Council Thanesar. 200 number sweepers along-with 4 tractor trolleys and 20 Tippers will be deployed from 16.12.2019 to 31.12.2019 to sweep the mela area and lift garbage. In addition to these sweepers 50 sweepers would be diverted from KDB for cleaning of the Braham Samovar and Sannehit Sarovar. Arrangement of Tippers for lifting garbage from all Dharamshalas. Municipal Council has arranged 6 mobile toilets (10 seats each) and will be placed at different places in the town. 150 double dustbins will be placed at Railway road and KDB Road as well as at different sites/chowks of the city. All chowks are being got repaired and paint. 12 Fogging machines will be deployed in the mela area for fogging w.e.f. 23.12.2019. The Public Health Engineering Department will be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of toilets and urinals in the mela area. It is pertinent to mention that after the pilgrims leave the city of Kurukshetra on 26.12.2019, the cleanliness drive and garbage disposal in the mela area will have to be initiated on a war-footing. In this regard, the Sector Officers will ensure that the Municipal Council and K.D.B sanitation staff keeps up the cleanliness drive till the late hours of 27.12.2019. The CEO, KDB will be responsible for the cleaning of the foot-steps/ladies ghats of Braham Sarovar and Sannehit Sarovar. KDB will also in-coordination with the Civil Surgeon, Kurukshetra ensure treatment of the standing water in Braham Sarovar, Sannehit Sarover, Jyotisar, Sthaneshwar Mahadev Mandir, Narkatari Tirath, Banganga Dayalpur and Saraswati Tirath, Pehowa. .
