Top per head on the day was £88.50 from Merv Gimblett of Treneglos. 521 Store Lambs A flying trade for all on offer with a large crowd of buyers present. 11 pens over £71, to a top of £76 for a pen of Texel x Mule from Richard Nankivell of St Breward who also realised £75.50 and £72.50 of other pens. Malcum and Glenda Taper of Polperro realised £75, for their 1st pen of Suffolk x, and £70 with their second. Messrs J & J Prideaux of Dunsmouth sold the 1st pen of Texel x Lambs at £73.50. More Store Lambs needed please 26 Rams A steady trade met a top call of £250, for a Texel 4T from Tony England of South Molton. STORE CATTLE AUCTIONEER RICHARD DENNIS 200 Cattle at Hallworthy met another brisk trade, with plenty of buyers looking for fleshy wintering Cattle. Top spot on the day went to Mr G E Williams, of St Kew, with a tremendous run of forward Cattle, three very smart black Limousin Steers to £975, with a pen of four Simmental Steers with plenty of stretch to £955, and another pen of three Simmental x Steers to £945. Mr R J Butter of North Hill ran in close with an exceptionally well finished young British Blue x Steer with great definition, out of a Simmental x Cow, which realised £950. Mr K Bird of Bude saw his top end of a wonderful run of Bazadaise x Cattle to £940, for a pen of six Steers with length and stretch, to make huge Cattle with great conformation. Mr PJS Parsons of South Petherwin saw their top of a strong run of Charolais x and British Blue x Cattle top at £910. A group of three younger Cattle from D J Keat & Sons of Bodmin, saw a very smart run of 14-17 month Aberdeen Angus Steers top out at £830 for his first pen of three, and £810 for his second pen of four. Heifers Mr R J Butter of North Hill topped this section with a shapely Limousin x Heifer with good conformation to £920. PJS Parsons of South Petherwin ran in close with a superb Charolais x Heifer with a great outlook at £900, and a pair of British Blue x Heifers to £875. The Keat Family of Bodmin ran in again with a tremendously well fleshed pair of Aberdeen Angus, Name Sire Heifer to £850. RA & D Philp of Wadebridge saw their best a single British Blue Heifer to £855. Cows and Fats R.R Sanders of Par saw their 5 year old Hereford Bull, a lengthy and well fleshed Bull touch out at 94ppkilo to £1128. .
