Roa Additional Populations Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago Behavioral disabilities Artist Program Description Cognitive disabilities The Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago was founded in 1982. The Developmental disabilities Emotional disabilities ensemble of 20-50 dancers showcases authentic Mexican dance and costume from Learning disabilities 32 states of Mexico. Dances range from pre-Columbian indigenous rituals to the Physical disabilities influences of Spanish, French, Caribbean, and Mexican Revolutionary cultures on Speech impairments Visual impairments present-day Mexican folkloric dance. Performances are fast-paced and non-stop with many quick costume changes. The company’s mission is to increase the public’s Educational Services awareness of this rich heritage that comprises over 300 dance styles. They have Demonstrations, Lectures Master Classes performed for President Reagan, President Clinton, Vice-President Bush, and Mexican Residencies, Workshops President Fox. Teacher Development Presentations contain four to 12 or more suites or rituals. Each suite may have one Language Skills to five, or more, dances. Suites depict a state, region, or an era in Mexican history. Spanish Suites may showcase several different costumes to show regional variances. Popular Fees suites are: Raiz Viva (a Mexica ritual “May Shee Kah”), Jalisco, Colima, Veracruz, Minimum: $4,000 Norte, Michoacan, Puebla, Zacatecas, Tamaulipas, Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo Maximum: $19,000 (Raw), Sinaloa, Guerrero, Nayarit, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Durango, Oaxaca, Educational rates Huasteca, Chiapas, San Luis Potosi, and more. Dancers can be accompanied by are available musicians that play up to 50 different instruments such as drums, conch shell, toothed jaw bones, reed flutes, Jarocho harp, marimba, accordion, clarinet, saxophone, and the regular mariachi instruments. .
