We operate several rotor wing (helicopter) air ambulance aircraft, which are fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-trained staff. Mercy Flight also provides fixed wing (airplane) long distance transports, utilizing Thunderun Aviation to provide a Learjet and two pilots. The Learjet is based in Western New York. Expert medical care is performed by Mercy Flight’s nurses, paramedics, advanced practice providers, and physicians. The aircraft is equipped with a satellite phone that can be used to contact dispatch, medical control, and others if needed.
