Walk to the Bodleian Ticket Office Point A on Map One and on the Oxford Wizarding Locations Map WCP to the Bodleian Library is a 20 minute walk. Exit the WCP to the west. Depending on where you park, you’ll be exiting onto Norfolk Street or Castle Street. ♦ Turn right and walk north until Castle Street ends. ♦ Turn right and walk east on Bonn Square (street), continuing as it becomes Queen Street. When you reach the intersection of Saint Aldate’s (street) on your left and Cornmarket Street (on your right), Queen Street becomes High Street. ♦ Cross to the north side of High Street at this intersection. Continue east on the north side of High Street until you reach Catte Street. ♦ Turn left and walk north. After passing the Radcliffe Camera building (on your left), watch on your left for the Bodleian Library Great Gate. Alternate Route If you didn’t find the Westgate Car Park public toilet, after crossing to the north side of High Street (above) walk north on Cornmarket Street to Market Street. ♦ Turn right and watch on your right for the public toilet between the Wagamama noodle restaurant and the Covered Market entrance. When finished, turn right to resume walking east on Market Street. When you reach the place where Market Street turns north and becomes Turl Street, look straight ahead for Brasenose Lane, a pedestrian walkway. ♦ Walk east on Brasenose Lane to Radcliffe Square, and continue east past the Radcliffe Camera building (on your right), to Catte Street. ♦ Turn left and walk north, watching on your left for the Bodleian Library Great Gate. Follow directions to the Bodleian Library Great Gate found on the previous page using Map One, then switch to the OWLs Map and the directions below. Easter to Mid-October Walk past the Bodleian Library Great Gate and continue north to the next street on the right, New College Lane. ♦ Turn right and walk east, passing under the arched Hertford College Bridge of Sighs. ♦ Continue on New College Lane as it turns south, and then east again, until you reach the entrance to New College. Mid-October to Easter Walk past the Bodleian Library Great Gate and New College Lane, continuing north until you reach the next intersection: Broad Street on your left, Holywell Street on your right. ♦ Turn right and walk east on Holywell Street. ♦ After passing Mansfield Road, watch on your right for a driveway that leads beneath an arched stone opening. ♦ Turn right and walk inside, looking for a New College Porter. If you reach the Holywell Quadrangle (a large grassy area) without finding a Porter, turn right and look for the New College Porter’s Lodge on the right. Exit the WCP to the east. ♦ Turn right and walk south on Old Greyfriars Street. Just before reaching Thames Street, Old Greyfriars Street turns left and runs east, parallel to Thames Street. ♦ Turn left to walk east on Old Greyfriars Street, continuing east when it becomes Speedwell Street. Continue on Speedwell Street as it turns east, until you reach Saint Aldate’s (street) and cross to the east side. ♦ Turn left and walk north, watching on your right for the elaborate iron gate that leads to Christ Church Meadow. ♦ Turn right and go through the gate.
