Hampton is 58-25 in road games under head coach David Six after an 88-53 win at South Carolina State on Monday, and the Lady Pirates have won at least 10 road games in each of the last four seasons. But when the Lady Pirates defeated Coppin State 50-47 in last year’s MEAC Tournament title game, they did just that. Head coach David Six has won the MEAC Tournament in each of his five seasons at the helm. During that span, Hampton went 62-2 in MEAC play (74-2 including MEAC Tournament games). That stretch includes back-to-back seasons in which the Lady Pirates went undefeated in conference play; overall, the Lady Pirates had won 54 straight games against MEAC foes, including conference tournament games, prior to a loss at Savannah State on Jan. 24.
