Hitt Library and Millican Hall. During Homecoming week, UCF hosts Spirit 1 Splash, when students and alumni rush into the Reflecting Pond for a chance to catch REFLECTING the year’s signature rubber duck. POND Located adjacent to the library and the Student Union, the John T. Washington Center 2 is named for one of the first Black faculty members at UCF and features a mural of him and his contributions to campus. This gathering place, also referred to as the JOHN T. breezeway, includes UCF Card Services, a barber shop, a campus bookstore, Chick- WASHINGTON fil-A, Domino’s Pizza and services for banking, mailing and printing. CENTER The heart of the UCF campus is a hub for activities, events and socializing. Eateries include Steak ’n Shake, Smoothie King, Panda Express, Chili’s, Starbucks and others. 3 Plus, there are study spaces and computer labs with free printing, a computer STUDENT store, lounges, a convenience store and the SGA Ticket Center, which offers student UNION discounts to local attractions, including Disney and Universal, as well as events. The Office of Professional Development, located in Business II, helps students set career goals in motion from day one. Student Health Services provides a variety of primary and specialty care services including a pharmacy, dental center, women’s clinic, lab testing, immunizations 7 and more. Adjacent to the health center is the counseling center, which provides HEALTH free comprehensive psychological services to enrolled students. The counseling CENTER center offers initial assessments, individual counseling, group therapy, workshops and walk-in services. FERRELL COMMONS Also located in Ferrell Commons is All Knight Study, Knights Helping Knights Pantry and Pride Commons. This facility has two swimming pools, cardio and fitness floors, a 41-foot rock-climbing 9 tower, sand volleyball and multipurpose courts, aquatics facilities and more. Aerobics, yoga, Pilates and spinning are a few of the free exercise classes offered to students. RECREATION The university’s intramural and club sports are supervised here, as well.
