Pursuant to Alabama Act No. 2001-956, Auburn University seeks proposals from qualified professionals licensed in the State of Alabama to consult with the University in the: development of final facility program requirements, overall phasing plan, and the provision of basic architectural and engineering services for the following projects: Plainsman Park Player Development Improvements (AU Project Number: 16-195) Auburn Arena Locker Room Renovation (AU Project Number: 17-119) Jane B. Moore Soccer Complex Player Development Improvements (AU Project Number: 17-197) Qualification: Applicants will be selected on the basis of professional qualifications and successful experience with similar full-service engagements. Applicant firms must clearly demonstrate a considerable body of successful experience with similar or closely-related facility types. Skill and experience in analyzing the program and needs of each project individually but in general context must include high performance athletics training facilities and locker room uses such as training rooms, locker areas, team lounge, bathroom areas, and meeting space. Applicants must demonstrate successful experience in delivering fully integrated facilities in a functional, economical, and effective manner. Applicants must provide documented success in construction cost management, thorough, accurate and timely services, and document production. Projects Description: Plainsman Park Player Development Improvements (AU Project Number: 16-195) The project consists of a new player development building including 4 new batting cages, Gameday operations space and renovated seating beyond the right field wall. A concept design will be distributed to those teams selected for the interview process. The design of the project is currently planned for completion within 6 months, with construction to be completed by Spring 2019. Auburn Arena Locker Room Renovation (AU Project Number: 17-119) The project consists of the demolition of a portion of the existing men’s locker room, construction of new team related spaces for both the men’s and women’s locker room areas, and renovations to the entry lobby, team lounges, team meeting rooms and coaches locker/lounge areas, located within the Auburn Arena. A concept design will be distributed to those teams selected for the interview process. The design of the project is currently planned for completion within 4 months, with construction to be completed by October 2018. Jane B. Moore Softball Complex Player Development Improvements (AU Project Number: 17-197) The project consists of a new player development building, including new batting cages, practice infield, and permanent seating along right field line. A concept design will be distributed to those teams selected for the interview process. The design of the project is currently planned for completion within 6 months, with construction to be completed by Spring 2019. Services from the design team will include: 1. Verification of the draft program as developed by Auburn University. 2. Review and documentation of existing site conditions. 3. Full design services (A through E) as defined in the Alabama Building Commission Manual. Response: Interested firms must request, complete and submit questionnaires provided by Auburn University. A request for each separate project questionnaire must be e-mailed to: Gregory Forthofer, Associate Athletics Director, Capital Projects – [email protected] cc: Jim Carroll, University Architect - [email protected], Ms. Barrett Warren, OUA Coordinator - [email protected] Questionnaires must be returned via email (10MB or less) to the email addresses above and received no later than 12:00 PM Central Time, on or before Friday, October 13, 2017. If you are submitting qualifications for more than one project, you must submit a combined questionnaire, which will be limited to 25 pages total. No other information such as firm marketing documents will be accepted at this time. In selecting the most qualified firm, Auburn University will be guided by the Manual of Procedures, 2001 Edition, prepared by the Alabama Building Commission. A shortlist of firms to be interviewed for each separate project will be developed by October 17, 2017, with in-person team interviews for AE Selection on the date of October 25, 2017. Firms may apply for multiple projects. .
