In Bio Japan 2011, which was held in Yokohama City in October 2011, the prefecture set up the KANAGAWA Pavilion, in which 33 bio ventures in Kanagawa took part as exhibitors. Overseas as well, the Kanagawa Prefectural Government, the Municipality of Yokohama, the Kihara Memorial Yokohama Foundation for the Bio Japan 2011 Advancement of Life Sciences, and others are teaming up to support the efforts of bio-related enterprises from Kanagawa to expand their markets in Europe and America. Kanagawa sent a business mission to Bio Europe 2011, which was held in Germany in October 2011.
