IDP FACTSHEET: SHAQLAWA TOWN DISPLACEMENT ERBIL GOVERNORATE, IRAQ REASONS FOR DISPLACEMENT DATE OF ASSESSMENT: 19 JUNE 2014 95% LEFT THEIR PLACE OF ORIGIN BECAUSE OF CONFLICT OCCURRING IN THEIR VILLAGE / NEIGHBOURHOOD The deteriorating security situation in northern and central Iraq has caused mass displacement across much of the country. BEFORE RETURNING TO THEIR AREA OF ORIGIN 5% do not know if they will return, 3% want to see the return of Iraqi authorities AREA OF ORIGIN and 2% want to see services restored to pre-crisis levels. 47% ORIGINATE FROM FALLUJA DISTRICT, ANBAR GOVERNORATE PLANNED MOVEMENT IN THE NEXT 10 DAYS 14% originate from Tikrit District, Salah Ad Din Governorate, and 11% from Mosul District in Ninewa Governorate. 32% PLAN TO STAY IN THEIR CURRENT LOCATION 59% do not know if they will move in the next 10 days, 5% want to return to Shaqlawa their place of origin, 3% plan to move elsewhere in Iraq, and 2% plan to move elsewhere in the KRI. 95% INTEND TO STAY IN THE KRI FOR AT LEAST 1 MONTH 5% intend to stay for at least 1 week.
