Top per head on the day was £100 from Robert Reddaway of Honeychurch, North Tamerton. 154 STORE LAMBS Small entry but a flying trade, top being £85 from Robin and Harry Tamblyn of Morval Barton. 340 BREEDING EWES A strong trade met by the breeders, strongest trade on the day met by a bunch of Cheviot Ewe Lambs from Victor Rickard of New House, St Clether, with a top of £122, and other pens at £100, and £98. Swaledale 2T topped at £75 and Scotch Black Face Ewe Lambs to £59, all sold by Tony England of Tiverton. 51 RAMS A faster trade this week, top on the day was £300 for Texel x from Messrs P & K Butcher, 4 Acres Cottage. Cheviot 2T to £270, Charollais 2T to £250 all sold by Tony England of Tiverton. STORE CATTLE AUCTIONEER RICHARD DENNIS STORE CATTLE Similar entry to last week of 250 Store Cattle met a very strong trade throughout. John Vokes of Luxlyan again on top form turning out a pair of ripping Limousin x Steers, his first steer topping the market at £1240 at 24 months, and his second at 18 months realising £1100. Martin and Dudley Harris of Mount realised £1215 for their smart bunch of six 20 month Saler x Steers. Several Charollais x Steers on the morning over £1000 to a top of £1185 for four steers from Robert Tucker of Tavistock, who also topped the Charollais Heifers at £1080. Messrs FE & DK Jenkin of Falmouth saw their British Blue Steers top at £1185. Heifers – 100 Heifers on offer this week saw Mr W E Uglow of Warbstow with a pair of British Blue Heifers top at £1050. Several bunches of Limousin x Heifers realising £900 plus, to a top of £1025 for a bunch of six from Treveglos Farms.
