The Deputy Senate President read prayers. 2. Senate in Closed Session: Closed Session 10.40 a.m. Open Session 11.15 a.m. 3. Votes and Proceedings: The Deputy Senate President announced that he had examined the Votes and Proceedings of Wednesday, 30th June, 2010 and approved same. By unanimous consent, the Votes and Proceedings were approved. 4. Petitions: Rising on Rule 41, Senator Ayogu Eze (Enugu North) presented a Petition on behalf of Mr. Gerald N. G. Aniekwu over the refusal of the Nigerian Customs Service to reiustate him after he had been discharged and acquitted by the Court since 1982. Petition Laid and accordingly referred to Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions. 5. That the Bill for an Act to authorize the issue from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation the Total sum of N639, 824, 478, 183 (Six Hundred and Thirty-Nine Billion, Eight Hundred and Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Seventy-Eight Thousand, One Hundred and Eighty-Three Naira) only of which N507, 125, 967, 248 (Five Hundred and Seven Billion, One Hundred and Twenty-Five Million, Nine Hundred and Sixty-Seven Thousand, Two Hundred and Forty-Eight Naira) only is for additional Recurrent (Non-Debt) Expenditure while the balance of N132, 698,510, 935 (One Hundred and Thirty-Two Billion, Six Hundred and Ninety-Eight Million, Five Hundred and Ten Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty-Five Naira) only is for Contribution to the Development Fund for additional Capital Expenditure for the Year ending on the 31st day of December, 2010 be read the Second Time (Senate Leader).
