We are delighted to welcome you to EANS2019, the 19th European Congress of Neurosurgery, taking place in Dublin from 24 to 28 September 2019. The theme of the Congress is "Technology, Techniques, Training and Transparency" and we were working hard to ensure that the programme strongly reflects this. We are thrilled that so many eminent speakers and experts have agreed to join us. We offer our thanks to our outstanding Organising Committee for their invaluable help. There are significant opportunities for delegates to share their own work: through oral presentations and e-posters! We will continue to offer our highly regarded "Masterclass" – a great opportunity for younger members of the neurosurgical community to learn from world-renowned experts in a small, interactive setting. We also continued with a 4th year of travel grants for young neurosurgeons who would otherwise be unable to attend the Congress – see page 5 for details. EANS2019 will provide you with the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends, to forge new connections, and to share knowledge with the European and international neurosurgical community. We trust you will enjoy your time here with us!
