The road a shar p left-hand bend on the steepest par t of the climb, take a r ight end of the br idge tur n r ight onto a path leading down to the B6350; climbs gr adually from Nisbetmill and where it star ts to level out again, tur n 2 and the summit is reached. t ur n r igh t here then r ight again for Easter Softlaw immediately on p ass ing a minor road comes in on the r ight 1 . The retur n to Kelso uses this Drop down to a T junction with the B6352 and tur n left towards under the bypass. This road climbs for most of the next road, but car r y str aight on to visit either Monteviot House Gardens Yetholm with the Cheviot Hills now in view. This road continues to 13/ miles, quite steeply to star t with, but easing after about 1/ mile . (150 yds on left) or Harestane Visitor Centre (1/ mile on left) - the 4 2 2 drop and enter s a nar row dell. On emer ging from this, a minor road latter boasts a café. br anches off to the left 3 . Both this and the B6352 lead to Yetholm Bowmont Forest & Roxburgh Retur n to 1 and tur n left. The climb from the junction is steep for - the minor road is quieter and gives better views. the first 1/ mile but eases thereafter. Tur n r ight at the next T junction - 181/ m / 30km 4 Pass Cher r ytrees and tur n r ight towards Town Yetholm, which is soon 2 then r ight again (signposted to Fair nington) shor tly after cresting the reached. Bear left at the next junction into the High Street. There are Tur n r ight at Easter Softlaw 1 onto the B6396 and bear left after 1/ summit 2 - from here it is mostly either downhill or level back to 2 hotels on the south side of the High Street and 1/ mile away in Kir k mile onto a minor road. Cross the B6352 and continue to a T junction Kelso. This road is followed for 21/ miles past Fair nington and Pir nie . 2 2 Yetholm where teas, coffees etc . can be obtained. with the B6436 just past Wester Softlaw. Tur n left, then first r ight 2 for Take a r ight tur n at a weak br idge sign 3 and r ight again towards Bowmont Forest.
