About Guo Pei Almost two decades before Rihanna wore the now-iconic yellow cape to the Met Gala in 2015, she was already the designer of choice for high society and the political elite at home in China. In 2016, Guo Pei became the first China-born-and-trained fashion designer to be invited to join the esteemed Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.
