CLUB EVENTS April 18– Lunch meeting at Spring Creek BBQ - Atascosita 11 -2 5613 East FM 1960 May 15 – 17 – Lone Star XXXIII – San Antonio, TX HCCC members will spend a long weekend in San Antonio at the Comfort Suites North Stone Oak at this year’s Lone Star XXXIII event, Hosted by the Alamo Classic Chevy Club. This 33rd Annual Lone Star Classic Chevy Convention for ’55 – ’57 Chevys will be in San Antonio this year. This event will include a day trip to the beautiful San Antonio River Walk on Saturday with the awards banquet that evening. Marti will present HCCC’s “Favorite Tri Five Chevy Award” of the event as we have done in the past. Let’s plan to have a large number of members go to San Antonio to help our fellow Tri-five enthusiasts have a successful convention! We will be leaving on Friday for a leisurely ride with stops for lunch and gas/restroom breaks. Sunday’s trip back to Houston will be decided by the group during the weekend. We may have two caravans, one for the sightseeing group and one for the pedal to the metal group. Woody's Hot Rodz & Super Chevy Magazine, along with our Title Sponsor Danchuk, will be putting on a three year celebration of the Tri-Five Chevrolets beginning August 14-15, 2015 at the nostalgic Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The NHRA Hot Rod Reunion and the Holley LS Fest have both grown and prospered at this well maintained and heavily shaded venue for years. The town of Bowling Green opens their arms to Hot Rodders each time an event comes to their town. We hope to see you at the birthday party we are throwing for the 1955 Chevrolet. Also, 2015 is the 60th anniversary of the famed Small Block Chevrolet. We will have a tribute to the Small Block called, "Where it all Began....." & a first ever Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony for contribution to the Preservation of the 55, 56, & 57 Chevrolets will be presented. September 13 – Pee Wee’s Picnic at Carbide Park 11:00 AM – 3 PM The 8th Annual Hot Rod Picnic At Carbide Park in La Margue, TX ---Hot Rods & Pre 1970 Muscle Cars "ONLY". Food at Noon, Pee Wee Bowen Band will play 1 – 3 PM. Entry fee: Covered dish. Bring lawn chairs, non-alcoholic (no glass) beverages. November 25 - 29– Houston Autorama – Thanksgiving weekend Our 55’s are 60 years old in 2015. A Special Birthday Celebration is scheduled, let Bob Stone know if you want your ’55 to be a part of the 6 car display. Entry fee is provided by the club. We have many great ‘55’s so let Bob know early that you would like to be part of this display. If there are more cars offered than we need for the show, the club will vote on who will display. December 5, 2015, Saturday 11:00 to 2:00 PM A lunch Christmas party at the Monument Inn will be held from 11:00 to 2:00. The Lynchburg Dinner Package is $15.00/person including tax and gratuity.
