Highly skilled drivers such as yourself, from around the world are participating at this event. You have earned your right to compete here by winning one of the following championship meets: All Japan Tamiya Grand Prix (16 Regions in Japan) Hokkaido, Iwate, Miyagi, Tokyo, Nagano, Shizuoka, Kakegawa, Aichi, Toyama, Fukui, Kansai, Okayama, Sanin, Yamaguchi, Shikoku, and Kyushu. Tamiya Championship Series (2 countries from North America) Canada & United States Tamiya Asia Cup (8 countries from Asia) South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Also, please bring your driver’s file to the race venue and on competition days as a reference. Also, race scenes will be broadcasted via USTREAM (Live video streaming). 伪 Always carry your valuables with you to prevent theft. Take care of your belongings when you leave your pit table. 伪 Race organizers take extra care to prevent accidents during the event. However, please note that they do not take any responsibility in case of an accident, theft, and personal injury. 伪 Always follow race organizers' instructions. Please note that disobeying them may result in disqualification from the race. 1 November 14th (Friday) 09:00 Pit Area Opens At your designated seat, you will find: 1. Name Tag 2. Assistant Pit Pass 3.Race Bibs 䯲 To prevent theft and confusion, only those with pit passes will have access to the Pit Area (Drivers must wear name tags and bibs at all times; Assistants must have their pit pass on.) 䯲 100V power source will be available at each table (1 per driver). 09:15 Sale of Tire Vouchers (TRF, GT, JAPAN) & Tire+Motor Vouchers (FORMULA, M SPORT) Begins ( ~ 10:00) Please refer to Appendix 1 for information on purchase, reinforcement and storage of tires. 09:30 Control Tire Purchase & Reinforcement ( ~ 11:00) Please refer to Appendix 1 for information on purchase, reinforcement and storage of tires. ※ Please note that tires are pre-attached for all classes. 10:00 Inspections & Photography ( ~ 13:30) 余 Take your vehicle, transmitter and Driver's Profile sheet (this will be handed to you by Intl. Div. staff) to the inspection area. Please be sure to wear your race bib. 余 Each vehicle that passes inspection will receive an official marking. 余 Photos will be taken of the drivers and vehicle bodies. (Photos will be used as a reference for race announcers as well as for the laminated Driver's Profiles.) 10:30 Practice Sessions #1, #2 & #3 ※Lap timer devices may not be used. 余 Drivers must use control tires in order to participate. All control tires for each class will be collected. Control tires may not be taken back to the pit area. 余 For classes which use control motors, drivers may use their own motor of the same type for Practice Sessions. (The actual control motor may also be used.) 余 Number stickers must be attached to your vehicle during these sessions. 12:00 Parts Shop Opens (Limited Edition/Event Only items will be available from Nov.15) 14:00 Practice Sessions #4 & #5 (Timed) 余 These will be run like an actual Qualifying Heat (Lap times will only be recorded using AMB). 余 Please remember your Course Marshal Duties! You must marshal for the group after your own (Assistants may substitute). 䯲 GPX-TRF Group 10 drivers will marshal for GPX-Japan Class Group 1. 䯲 Qualifying Heat line-ups will be determined based upon results from the Practice Session #5. Race bibs for practice sessions will be collected after Practice Session #5, and new bibs (plus number stickers) for the Qualifying Heats distributed in the Pit Area. 16:30 Practice Sessions End 䯲 All control tires for each class will be collected. Control tires may not be taken back to the Pit Area. 䯲 Control motors will also be collected. Control motors may not leave the Pit Area. 16:45 Pit Area Closes Please leave the Pit Area promptly. 䯲 Give name tag, Assistant pit passes, and race bibs to Tamiya Intl. Div. staff. Take care not to leave any valuables behind. 2 November 15th (Saturday) 08:15 Assembly / Roll Call Please assemble at the entrance of the Twin Messe's North Hall. Name tags and pit passes will be handed out, please put them on. 08:30 Event Hall & Pit Area Open ( ~ 9:00) Pit Area can be used until 9:00AM. 䯲 Control motors will be distributed to GPX-Formula and GPX-M Sport class Drivers. Please wear your bib so staff can identify you. 09:00 Pit Area Closes At this time we ask Drivers (please bring your vehicle with you) and Assistants to leave the Pit Area and assemble on the race course for the Opening Ceremony. 09:05 Opening Ceremony ( ~ 9:40) Welcoming speeches and various explanations will take place (mostly for the audience's benefit). After the Opening Ceremony, a commemorative group photo, as well as photos of the drivers from each individual class with their vehicles, will be taken. 10:00 Practice Session #6 余 This will be run like an actual Qualifying Heat (Lap times will only be recorded using AMB) 余 Please remember your Course Marshal Duties! Other R/C events include the R/C Soccer Finals and a beginner's R/C driving corner. For family and friends there is a whole day of fun to be had at our exhibits and hands-on corners. Drivers ranked 11 and below, your weekend finishes here. 䯲 Finalists may be asked to exchange transmitter frequencies. 䯲 For drivers from overseas, there is no seeding system. Everyone is equal. 11:30 Finals Heat #1 Refer to page 6 for Race Procedures. ※ Drivers from all classes must pass through inspection. 12:50 Finals Heat #2 Refer to page 6 for Race Procedures. ※ Drivers from all classes must pass through inspection. 14:25 Exhibition Race TRF team works drivers join the GPX-TRF Class finalists for a special exhibition race. 14:40 Awards Ceremony / World Champions' Presentation GPX-TRF, GPX-GT, GPX-Japan Class World Champions will receive a crystal trophy. GPX-Formula, GPX-M Sport Class Champions will each receive a trophy. 15:50 Disband / Packing Up Give name tag, Assistant pit pass, and race bib to Tamiya Intl. Div. Staff. You may keep the Driver pit pass as a souvenir. Please clean your area and take care not to leave any items behind prior to leaving. 16:00 Event Hall & Pit Area Close Cleaning and disassembling of the Event Hall commences. 4 Regarding Practice Sessions on November 14th (Friday) Examination and reinforcement of control tires must be completed in order to participate in these Practice Sessions.
