Hovis, director I certainly recall the first time I picked up the book. It was Lane Smith’s art that drew me toward cracking it open. Fun, wacky, yet with dark textures, I couldn’t help but be intrigued as just who this Stinky Man was. Then it happened. I fell into this zany world of Jon Scieszka’s mind. It is unabashed silliness at its best. I shared it with my three children, but I think I enjoyed it even more than they did. I have always been drawn to stupid, yet inventive humor. Years later, I am thinking, here I am, right back in that world of wonderful, beautiful stinkiness. With the help of the very talented John Glore, the world of Stinky is brought to life in a whole new way, yet still paying tribute to the spirit of the book. The challenge is stay true to the self- deprecating humor, as well as Smith’s artwork, while getting out of the way of the stories. I have come to get to know my old friends, Stinky, Jack, Chicken Licken, and many others, in a whole new way. It has been a blast to work with an amazing group of people, and I hope you have fun joining in the craziness. Just try not to step in the cow patties! 2 v 18th Anniversary Season Autographsask your favorite characters for their autograph after the show and take home a special memory Artist Biographies Dimithri Perera (Stinky Cheese Man/ Film credits include Distortion, Skidmarks!
