POST-GAME NOTES 2019 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament Thursday, March 14 // Las Vegas // T-Mobile Arena Final Score: #2 Arizona State 83, #7 UCLA 72 • With today’s win, No. 2 Arizona State will play the winner of No. 3 Utah and No. 6 Oregon tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinals. • The Pac-12 Tournament will be without a semifinalist from the state of California for the first time in the event’s 22-year history. • Arizona State improves to 8-20 all-time in the Pac-12 Tournament including 2-4 under fourth-year coach Bobby Hurley. • ASU advances to the semifinals for the third time in program history and the first time since 2009. • The Sun Devils are now on a three-game series win streak over UCLA. • UCLA falls to 24-17 in the conference tournament and 9-6 since it moved to Las Vegas. • The Sun Devils went on a 14-0 run to end the first half en route to a 45-29 lead, its second-largest halftime lead of the season (44-26, Jan. 5 against Colorado). • Arizona State has 22 wins, the most under Bobby Hurley and most since 2012-13. • The Sun Devils are 16-4 when they lead or are tied at halftime. • Arizona State’s win is its first win against UCLA in the Pac-12 Tournament (1-3). • The No. 2 seed is 12-5 against the No. 7 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament after ASU’s win. • Kris Wilkes led all scorers with 25 points in the quarterfinal matchup and has scored in double figures in 31-of-33 games this season including each of UCLA’s final seven games. • Jaylen Hands and Kris Wilkes combined for 46 of UCLA’s 72 points against Arizona State. The duo scored in double figures in both contests of the 2019 Pac-12 Tournament. • Jaylen Hands scored 21 points against ASU, his 26th double-figure game of the season. • Zylan Cheatham scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, his 13th double-double of the season and third-most among Pac-12 players this season. • Arizona State won the rebound battle, 39-31, and has outrebounded its opponent in 22-of-31 games this season. • Moses Brown moved into sole possession of fourth place on UCLA’s single-season blocked shots list with 62. It’s also the ninth-most in a season by a freshman in Pac-12 Conference history. • Romello White dominated in the paint, scoring a team-high and season-high 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting. It was White’s first game in double figures since he scored 10 on Feb. 13 against Colorado. • Arizona State is a perfect 9-0 this season when five players score in double figures. • UCLA has made a three in 654 consecutive games, ASU has made one in 589 consecutive..
