Miss Jenn’s Weekly Booklist The American Library Association presents awards each year to the best children’s books published in the United States. Two of the major awards are the Caldecott Medal, given for the best illustrations, and the Newbery Medal, given for the best writing. The books are created for children birth-age 14.
