Rules 1. This competition is sanctioned by the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA). 2. This competition is being organized by Freestyle Panorama Ski Club & Panorama Mountain Resort 3. The competition will be held under FIS rules and regulations for Freestyle Skiing. 4. All competitors must possess a CFSA Competitor license valid in British Columbia. Athletes require a CanFree 2 license at minimum. Renew your CFSA membership online. 5. Athletes must pre-register for the event online prior to Sunday, February 16th. There will be a $10 late fee for athletes who do not register by this date. 6. Athlete bibs must be worn during all official training and competition. No exceptions. Entrants must complete the on-line entry form no later than 11:59pm February 18th, 2020. On-line registration is now closed. Please visit the race office located in the Copper Crown room for any last minute changes / additions. Late entries will be subject to a $10 late registration fee. Registration will be capped at 120 athletes for Moguls and 100 athletes for Slopestyle. Competitors will be registered on a first come, first served basis. Please print and complete the athlete bio form found on the last page of this invite. Please bring the completed form to the race office when you check in. Entry Fees One event: $60 Two events: $90 Late fee: $10 Mandatory bib deposit: $20 cash (refund upon return). Refund Policy: If the entire event is cancelled, $30CDN shall be refunded to each athlete registered for the event. An athlete shall receive a maximum refund of $30CDN per competition even if he/she is registered in more than one event that is cancelled. Injury Refund Policy: A registered athlete who withdraws from an event before the generation of the start list will receive a refund of 50% of their entry fee. Athletes that appear on the official start list for an event will not be given a refund. No refunds will be given without a written request received no later than 7 days after the completion of the last event day. KFC Invite: February 21 – 23, 2020 Page 6 of 9 Liability and Accident Insurance • All competitors 19 years of age or older will be required to sign a waiver at the time of registration. All competitors under the age of 19 must have a team leader, parent or guardian authorized to sign a waiver. • All athletes, officials and other team members who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. • Volunteers, coaches and officials must be members of the CFSA. Please register online. Lift Tickets Competition day lift tickets are available at Guest Services in Ski Tip Lodge at 25% off the window rate. Please present your race bib to receive the discount. CanWest passes are accepted. Coaches‘ tickets are available in the Race Office at a rate of 1 complimentary pass per 10 athletes registered for race days only. Pizza and Ice Cream Sundae Party Banquet Date: Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Banquet Location: Great Hall Cost: $25 Tickets for the Pizza and Ice Cream Sundae Party can be purchased at the competition office until noon on Saturday, February 22nd. Panorama Mountain Resort will be catering the event which will be held at the Great Hall. Silent Auction: Freestyle Panorama will be hosting a silent auction during the Banquet. The nearest major city is Calgary, AB, just a 3½ hour drive away. Access from Calgary is west, via Highway 1 through the Banff and Kootenay National Parks, followed by a turn south on Highway 93 through to Radium and onwards to Invermere, BC. From Invermere, a gentle 20 minute drive rises into the Purcell Mountains and winds towards Panorama Mountain Resort. Air Access The nearest airports are: Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the most common access point to Panorama. It's 311 km from Panorama through the world famous Banff and Kootenay National Parks. During the winter season we offer airport transfers from YYC.
