George glanced at her watch. You and George promised me Once Upon a Thriller would be a relaxing weekend. Then tomorrow we can sleep in and read and relax before we go waterskiing after lunch. I could tell she would have preferred spending the entire weekend doing nothing but sitting on the shores of Moon Lake with a magazine and a bottle of nail polish to touch up her manicure and pedicure. Besides the outdoor activities, I also planned to read the latest Miles Whitmore mystery, Terror on the Trail. Once we got going, it was only about fifty miles to Avondale, which is where Moon Lake is located. You always hate any group I like. I was impressed. George can be incredibly opinionated when it comes to music. She and Bess are my best friends, and they also happen to be cousins. But the two are as different as Beethoven and The Rolling Stones. I saw George in the rearview mirror, and I knew she was working hard to restrain herself. I was trying to keep the Once Upon a Thriller between my friends, but I was also being truthful—the song was catchy and fun. And with that, we all settled in to enjoy the ride. We pulled up to our rental cabin on Moon Lake almost exactly an hour later. Towering green pines surrounded Once Upon a Thriller cabin, and the setting looked inviting. As we hiked, I took in the beautiful scenery and tried to let my mind wander. That can be tough for me, as I always have some mystery on my mind—a real one or one in a book. But this weekend at the lake I really planned to focus on my friends and the great outdoors. Which, come to think of it, was quite possible. Even Bess agreed that it had been pleasant and not particularly taxing. But the basket was nowhere to be found. Suddenly an image of it popped into my head. It was sitting on the counter—the counter at my house in River Heights, that is. Bess smiled broadly. You could take ten books with you at once. When it comes to books, I like the feel of the pages in my hands, and even the smell of them. And Bess was right—there were plenty of quaint stores and shops. Once Upon a Thriller fire trucks Once Upon a Thriller stopped in the middle of the street, and an acrid smell filled the air. We parked and quickly made our way toward the crowd that had formed. A sign in front of the shop was in the shape of an open book. I moved closer to the girls. Once Upon a Thriller heard this book signing was the only one she was doing all year. But I could still hear them clearly. In fact, everyone around us could. A firefighter near us was talking with a distraught-looking woman with graying hair who was pointing to the store. At that moment, one of the other firefighters approached us. We all moved back, but Mandy had ideas of her own and went right up to the fireman. And now we might have to wait another year until we do. But he patiently answered her question. It was arson! Home 1 Kids' Books 2. Once Upon a Thriller an excerpt of this book! Add to Wishlist. Mar 04, Sarah Nealy rated it liked it. Another quick read this one a Once Upon a Thriller more suspenseful then Once Upon a Thriller Nantucket one which I liked! This one was like camping outside and hearing a scary story just scary enough to give you goosebumps! After my 10 hour audiobook of the phenomenal The Flatshare, I wanted to switch back to my preferred limit under 5 hours. These Nancy Drew Diaries are so sweet and short that I can't help but enjoy myself. Out Once Upon a Thriller the four that I have read, I have only disliked one. Once Upon a Thriller was a fun take and playfully tapped on the fourth wall throughout the story. Nancy Drew went meta as she tried to solve the Once Upon a Thriller based on the cases of a literary detective. The author who writes these stories liv After my 10 hour audiobook of the phenomenal The Flatshare, I wanted to switch back to my preferred limit under 5 hours. The author who writes these stories lives in the Once Upon a Thriller that these events are occurring and she is being framed! Everything was well thought-out and I loved how we went three layers deep in this book: 1. I am reading a Nancy Drew book 2. Nancy Drew is reading a book about a girl detective. Someone in town is committing crimes based on the cases of a literary detective that Nancy Drew has to solve and the reader gets Once Upon a Thriller guess what happens too! Altogether, Once Upon a Thriller fun intriguing read that messes with the genre and I don't believe I heard one utterance of the word "dubious". Jan 17, Samantha Bartley rated it it was ok Shelves:nancy-drew. Since I was six, Nancy Drew has been that big sister than I never had. I loved following her around as she solved all kinds of mysteries, and looking up to her like any girl would look up to a great role model. So I guess it's a little weird to realize that I'm now Once Upon a Thriller older sister in this equation. It's a very different feeling reading a Nancy Drew mystery when you realize that now you're older than all the main characters, and you've yet to solve of mystery like Nancy.
